Scope:
EDITORIAL ……a child touched a hot tea pot; removed his hand and felt the pain. The incident further warned him against all hot bodies; all due to brain, Brain-THE MASTER CONTROLLER. This is the cover story of yet another issue of science scope. since brain remains one of the most unexplored part of a human body.
The little smile you share, laugh you laugh, anger you show are all the reflex action of the central nervous system-The Brain. Brain is a very dynamic organ and hates to remain jobless. A lot of our work deals with how parts of the brain can be activated to take on different functions. The plasticity and adaptability of brain ensures that it is never too late to learn and re learn, though in some cases more effort is needed.
While compiling the materials for the newsletter, we sincerely wanted to bring into limelight, the Brain; the most important organ in an animal’s body. It’s not just because brain is important, rather we felt, we all must know what makes us all behave in different manners at different instants of time. We hope that this issue would help our young readers to widen their knowledge on brain and understand the coordination of various parts of human body with brain .We are optimistic that many young Scientist will emerge from our village and work in the field of brain for the benefit of mankind.

WHAT IS A BRAIN ? Brain is the master control center of the body.The brain constantly recieves information from the senses about conditions both inside the body and outside it.The brain rapidly analyzes this information and then send out messages that control body functions and actions.The brain also stores information from past experience, which makes learning and remembering possible. In addtion brain is the source of thoughts, moods and emotions.
In such simple animals like worms and insects the brain consists of small groups of nerve cells. All animals with backbone have a complicated brain made up of many parts. Animals that have an exceptionally well developed brain is apes, Dolphins and Whales.Human beings have the most largely developed brain of all . It consists of billions of interconected cells and enables people to use different language, solve different problems and create works of arts.
The human brain is grayish-pink, jelly like ball with many ridges and grooves on its surface. a new born baby’s brain weigh less than 1 pound (0.5kg )by the time a person is 6years old, the brain has reached its weight of about 3pounds (1.4kg) a brain has three main divisions 1) The cerebrum
2) The cerebellum
3) The brainstem
